SAFF®20
SAFF20 offers a convenient containerised PFAS water treatment plant that suits many lower flow sites. Housed in a 40’ shipping container, the system is the perfect choice for smaller water treatment projects with short to medium term timeframes.
The SAFF20 unit includes an enclosed weatherproof field office for staff to prepare samples and document the day’s activities, along with a control room and equipment storage area.
The SAFF20 is a low maintenance, plug and play system that can be operating within minutes of arriving on site. Its intuitive remote telemetry system means that it requires minimal on-site operator supervision.
- Capable of treating up to 20m3/hr.
- Configured with two primary SAFF vessels and one secondary SAFF vessel.
- Conveniently housed in an easily transportable 40’ shipping container (12.2 x 2.4m footprint).
- Lowest OPEX of any PFAS remediation technology.
- No consumables, such as IX Resin or GAC, are required.
- No solid waste produced. Concentrated PFAS is the only by-product of the process.
- Easily manages cross contamination, high organic and sediment loads, with no reduction in efficiency.
- Includes integrated site office, control room and spare parts storage area.
- Plug and play, self-bunded system which can be operating within minutes of arrival to site.
- Delivered to site using standard container handling vehicles, cranes or forklifts.
- High grade remote telemetry system means minimal operator presence on site.

PFAS Concentration Plant

The SAFF Hyper-Concentrator Features
The SAFF® Hyper-Concentrator is the latest advancement in EPOC Enviro’s suite of PFAS remediation technologies. Engineered for seamless integration with multiple SAFF®40 systems, it is ideal for sites with large volumes of PFAS-contaminated water. The system concentrates PFAS and minimises the waste volume required to be destroyed, while also enhancing throughput capacity, enabling larger volumes of water to be efficiently stripped of PFAS.
THROUGHPUT
Accelerates PFAS remediation by enabling larger volumes of water to be effectively treated
CONCENTRATION EXCELLENCE
takes secondary concentrate and creates a
hyper–concentrate that is 20-200 times lower in volume
INTEGRATION
Compatible with other EPOC SAFF technologies and all current known PFAS destruction systems
ROBUST
consistent performance in complex, high-flow, and high-foaming influent streams

WHY IS CONCENTRATION SO IMPORTANT?
Hyper-concentration of PFAS contaminants is essential for their effective destruction.
PFAS compounds are typically found in minute quantities, measured in parts per trillion, within large volumes of water. At EPOC Enviro, we recognise that effective PFAS remediation is a dual challenge of separation and concentration. We have responded by creating technology that can sustainably separate these harmful contaminants from water and then concentrate them into a low volume foamate that is a manageable size for destruction providers. Hyper-concentration not only enables the efficient destruction of PFAS but also significantly enhances the commercial viability of the entire remediation process.

Frequently asked questions:
Why is the SAFF® Hyper-Concentrator necessary? Isn’t the original SAFF system on its own sufficient?
The original SAFF system has inbuilt separation, concentration and hyper-concentration capabilities through its primary, secondary and tertiary stage operations, and performs exceptionally well. However, in complex impacted water matrices with lower concentration factors, operation of the tertiary stage can slow down overall system throughput. Placement of a SAFF® Hyper-Concentrator, connected with up to four SAFF® units creates an efficient treatment train where each stage of the remediation process is optimised, and larger volumes of PFAS impacted water can be rapidly processed, and overall PFAS waste quantity is minimised.
The SAFF® Hyper-Concentrator is managing high concentrations of harmful PFAS contaminants. What measures have you introduced to ensure operator safety?
The SAFF® Hyper- Concentrator was purpose designed around operator and public wellbeing. Not only are each of the five internal booths sealed for safety, but in the unlikely event of PFAS becoming aerosolised, there is a PFAS airguard system integrating specialised GAC filters located within the container to remove any airborne particles.
Does the SAFF® Hyper-Concentrator have inbuilt telemetry similar to the SAFF®20 and SAFF®40 systems?
EPOC Enviro have invested heavily in a sophisticated remote telemetry systems for each of its PFAS remediation technologies. These deliver 24/7 oversight and diagnostic capability for clients, and reduce the need for onsite supervision, helping to reduce running costs.
