EPOC Enviro’s Surface-Active Foam Fractionation (SAFF) PFAS remediation technology has taken out second prize for Best Remediation Innovation at the Care Awards for Sustainable Technology and Innovation, second to AECOM.
Congratulations to our award author and Chief Scientist, David Burns, who was on hand to pick up the award and $2,000 prize money!
The award submission focused on the creativity of SAFF technology, its maturity within the market, future growth potential, evidence of customer implementation, ease and efficiency of use and its overall scalability.
“While the regulatory environment for PFAS removal is globally diverse and constantly changing, SAFF can meet the target removal levels for all regulatory environments,” said Dave, when referencing the overall functionality of SAFF within the submission.
On sustainability, he noted that SAFF achieves this through inclusion of a nature-based solution (NbS) design, coupled with green chemistry and biomimicry attributes, leading to an absence of exhausted adsorption media and lower OPEX costs, whilst producing minimal by-product waste.
Congratulations to all the SAFF Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales and Business Development staff on this award. This is testament to everyone’s dedication to their craft, and their passion for creating the most sustainable PFAS remediation solution on the market.
