21 November 2025: EPOC Enviro is pleased to announce that Japanese company MATSUBO Corporation has purchased a SAFF® PFAS remediation system, marking the technology’s first deployment into Asia.
Award winning SAFF® technology delivers sustainable PFAS remediation using a physical separation process, where rising air bubbles rapidly remove harmful target PFAS contaminants from the environment.
Now proven across multiple continents and with more than 1.5B litres of PFAS impacted waters successfully treated globally, SAFF® is recognised for efficiently removing a broad spectrum of PFAS compounds, including short-chain species, while minimising environmental impact and operational costs.
“We couldn’t be prouder to expand our reach into Asia. This milestone sale is a significant step forward in the global adoption of proven, sustainable, plug-and-play SAFF® technology,” said EPOC Enviro Managing Director, Pete Murphy.
“We are delighted to be working with MATSUBO Corporation to bring SAFF® technology to Japan, building on our PFAS remediation legacy beyond North America, Europe and Australia.”
MATSUBO selected the SAFF®40 system for its proven performance in challenging environments, including:
- Handling high solid loads in influent waters
- Sustaining high throughput over extended operations
- Compact footprint suitable for sites with constrained access
The system is scheduled to arrive in Japan in January 2026, where it will be commissioned at a confidential client site.
