We are entering an exciting phase of growth nationally and globally and are seeking a Mechanical Design Draftsperson to join our supportive team based in Penrith, NSW.

About the role: 

The role will involve the creation of 2D drawings and 3D models of containerised water treatment plants using our SolidWorks suite of products, before seeing these fabricated in our EPOC Enviro Manufacturing facility in accordance with policy, procedures, and systems best practice.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your duties will include but not limited to: 

  • Development of process drawings and schematics
  • Create 3D model design for parts, assemblies and sub-assemblies using SolidWorks software
  • Production and maintenance of all workshop drawings
  • Development of detailed fabrication drawings
  • Development of 3D images and drawings to support the manufacturing process
  • Producing equipment lists and Bills of Materials (BOM)

Requirements and skills: 

  • Qualifications within Design and Drafting
  • Minimum of 5-10 years Mechanical Design Drafting experience 
  • Proficient with 3D CAD modelling software SolidWorks
  • Previous experience as a PDM admin is desirable
  • Proven experience in using SolidWorks for 3D design and 2D drafting
  • Excellent technical communication skills with engineers and manufacturing personnel
  • Strong experience in AutoCAD for 2D drafting is desirable
  • Competent in analysing design documents and drawings and coordinating with engineers to resolve errors 
  • Able to work within a team environment
  • High level of attention to detail and a passion for quality design
  • Experienced in operating within an integrated QSE systems framework (ISO9001, AS4801, ISO14001)
